Tyrone Poole to compete on "American Ninja Warrior"

You might remember Tyrone Poole for his days as a member of the New England Patriots. However, did you know he is going to be doing something really cool this year?
That's right! He is not content solely with being a Super Bowl champ (he has two rings with the Patriots). He decided it was time to go out and do something more.
And now, he is set to compete in the upcoming season of the TV show, "American Ninja Warrior".
In case you don't know what the show is, it's essentially this: really fit people doing a hard obstacle course. At the end of it, there is a 14.5-foot wall named the "Warped Wall" that people have to run up. He'll be competing in Atlanta this upcoming weekend in hopes of making it to Las Vegas. The episode he will be recording this weekend is set to air on June 5.
Here's what he told Patriots.com about the whole thing.
"I won two Super Bowls and now I have the opportunity to win a championship as a ninja warrior on that course," Tyrone said. "You know how we do it as Patriots. We’re only in it to win it."
Oh yeah, and here is some footage of the show (but not with him in it, because that has not happened yet).
I mean, let's be honest: that looks really hard. But he's a former NFL player. One has to assume he has stayed in good shape since his career ended. If he could win two Super Bowls, then he will probably be pretty good at this too, but we will find out at a later date. And if I am wrong about this, I apologize for nothing--because the Patriots are not one to let us down very often. And when they do, they make up for it at a later date.
