Tom Brady not making the Pro Bowl isn't important

This one might make people kind of sad, but it doesn't really matter after all.
So, as you probably know by now, Tom Brady did not make the Pro Bowl team. Oh no! He made the team each season from 2009 to 2018 and has made the cut 14 times overall in his NFL career. It's not like he ever goes to it. He's oftentimes busy playing in the Super Bowl.
Now, if you want to look at trends, you might worry because in five of the years where Brady and the Patriots won the Super Bowl, the quarterback was a Pro Bowler. But you know what I say to that in response? He did not make the cut in 2003 and that season went pretty well for him. Also, what about the nine times he made the Pro Bowl and the team did not make it to the Super Bowl? There's precedent there...
That's not to guarantee a Patriots Super Bowl win or appearance or even AFC East first place finish. However, it is to say it's not all over for this team. They do have a lot of talent -- and arguably the best defense in Patriots history.
Now, back to Brady. He is 42 years old and still a competent NFL starting quarterback despite the team not having much of a ground game and the injuries on the offensive line. Not sure a lot of other teams could say the same thing, if we're being 100 percent honest...
The season is going well for the Patriots -- despite the recent slowdown. As long as Brady is good enough to play in the NFL still, that's really what matters. There's a great defense on this Patriots team, so he doesn't need to be the guy who throws 50 TD passes these days, thankfully.
