This Somerville Shop Serves Creative Ice Cream With A Side Of Heart

Gerly Adrien and David Lindsey have a passion for ice cream and human rights. They hope to bring people together with their unique, whimsical treats and dedication to the health and safety of their community.

The pair founded the Tipping Cow in 2013 and quickly gained a dedicated following of ice cream lovers who are interested in trying fun, creative, and decadent flavors such as Blueberry & Ginger, Chai, Earl Gray & Lemon, Strawberry Basil, Banana Pudding, Sweet Corn and many, many more!

As part of their devotion to inclusivity, they also serve a wide selection of dairy-free/vegan options. Since allergies are so prevalent, every single treat at the Tipping Cow is nut-free!

Adrien and Lindsey offer the following promise to their customers:

We strive to provide our customers with new, unusual, and iconic flavors, hoping to reinvent the way that people think about ice cream. We avoid all GMO ingredients and preservatives, and keep our products as pure as possible, allowing our flavors to shine, bright, bold, and undiluted. Ice cream is a fun vehicle to display the fantastic flavors that the world has to offer, and with creativity, anything can become ice cream.

Sunday, July 19 is National Ice Cream Day, and Tipping Cow has made a vow to "Freeze Out Racism." Head to the Somerville Shop where 25% of the day's sales will be donated to the fight against systemic and structural racism.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tipping Cow is offering online ordering and frequently changing their hours to comply with the governor's reopening phases.

Check out their website and follow them on Facebook for the latest information.
