Farm Fresh Rhode Island's Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market is the largest indoor farmers market in New England. When the weather turns chilly and Ocean Staters head indoors, the folks behind this delightful venture are just warming up!
Open "snow or shine" every Saturday through April 28, the Wintertime Farmers Market offers produce and so much more.
According to the Farm Fresh website, more than 80 vendors have signed on for the 2017 - 2018 season, selling locally grown and handmade products including:
"...vegetables, apples, cranberries and other produce; seafood, meats, poultry, and eggs; artisanal cheeses, breads, gluten-free and other baked goods; lotions, soaps, cosmetics, candles, honey, pickles, sauces, salsas and preserves; chocolates, nuts, juices, teas, coffee and other beverages; flowers, plants, wreaths and more!"
You can find prepared foods like crowd favorite, Carrot Ginger Soup from Freedom Food Farm - simply heat and eat!
Looking for something you can sink your teeth into right away? Several vendors offer crepes and fresh pastries, while an array of local food trucks including Mijos Tacos and Rocket Fine Street Food park outside to serve hungry market customers.
There are also several artisan vendors selling their non-food wares. Dogs + Daisies offers adorable bandanas for your four-legged friends and The Empowerment Factory specializes in handmade soaps infused with essential oils.
The market is open every Saturday morning from 9am to 1pm until the end of April and only closes in cases of severe incliment weather.
