Join 250 Costumed Santas As They Ski Down A Maine Mountainside

Do you love to ski or snowboard? Have you ever dreamed of cruising down a snowy mountainside in a full Santa costume? Then Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine has the event for you!

On Sunday, December 8, 250 Santas will ride the ski lifts, then glide down the mountain in a spectacle of red velvet and flowy red beards - and it's all for a great cause!

Last year's Santa Sunday event raised over $3,000 for the River Fund, a non-profit organization that supports youth education and recreation.

Registration is just $20 per skiing Santa and begins Monday, December 2.

Pre-registered participants check-in on Sunday, December 8, between 7:30-10:30AM at Discovery Center next to the South Ridge Lodge.

There is an 11AM photo shoot slopeside. Photo participants must arrive at check-in wearing all of the following items: a red Santa hat with white pompom, a red Santa jacket, red Santa pants, a Santa beard.

Those who participate in the photo will receive a lift ticket good for the rest of the day. At the conclusion of the photo shoot, a ticket valid through December 20, 2019, will be issued.

Santa Sunday is such a spectacle, it has even been featured on the Travel Channel! Sign up to ski or come out to support the skiing Santas on December 8 and donate to a great cause!
