This Converted Boston Home Is A Restaurant, Bookstore & Record Shop

Looking for something to do this weekend besides the same old dinner and a movie? Check out Tres Gatos in Jamaica Plain. It's a bookstore, a record shop, and a cozy, colorful Spanish tapas restaurant!

The business was founded on the philosophy that "sharing good food, music, and books is essential to a happy life."

Located at 470 Centre Street, it is easy to mistake this unique spot for a suburban home - because that's exactly what it used to be.

The restaurant/bar area is small and intimate featuring dim lighting, colorful decor, and a lovely patio area for summer dining.

Be prepared to hear lots of trendy, classic, and indie music from the record store!

It's a wonderful spot to grab a drink, with a wide selection of fresh, original cocktails, Sangria, and Spanish wines and beers.

The food is served in traditional tapas style with upscale dishes in small portions to share among your friends - or keep all to yourself.

Guests rave about the paella, lamb bocadillo and the gambas al la brasa - grilled prawns served in a tangy lime and cilantro marinade.

For a different twist on brunch, visit Tres Gatos on a Sunday for breakfast tapas options such as tortilla espanola, breakfast bocadillo, patatas bravas, and churros con chocolate.

In addition to great food and tons of vintage books and records, Tres Gatos also features monthly wine tastings and frequent performances from Brazilian musicians and dancers.

Tres Gatos certainly isn't your everyday corner restaurant. Go for the fabulous selection of music and literature, and stay for the delectable Sanish cuisine!
