One Boston Day

Today marks the second annual One Boston Day. On April 15th we choose to celebrate the strength and resiliency of our city, to show gratitude for the generosity and kindness of those who came together to help us, and to honor those who lost their lives in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Today is about random acts of kindness and asking yourself “how can I make a difference”. According to onebostonday.org, there are a number of memorial services and events going on around the city that you can participate in:

  • Donate sneakers to the St Francis House for their guests
  • The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Fund will be holding a blood drive just past the finish line on Boylston Street from 9am-3pm
  • The Museum of Science is offering free entry to the Butterfly Garden
  • At 2:49pm there will be a moment of silence at City Hall Plaze

How will you be participating?
