71st Celebration Of All Things Lobster

The first Maine Lobster Festival started back in 1947 and since then has flourished into one of the largest internationally recognized seafood celebrations. What started as just a way to get locals interested in Midcoast Maine, this non-profit organization has given more thank $500,000 back to the community. The festival is a fully volunteer based event with people from all over the world traveling to Rockland Maine for a once in a lifetime experience.

The Fest starts on August 1st and runs until the 5th.

The Maine Sea Goddess Coronation:

"Come see the coronation of the 71st Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess! Festivities begin at 8 p.m. with music and the introduction of the Sea Princesses.

The winner receives a cash prize and the title of The Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess with a lovely crown. She reigns at many events throughout the year, culminating with the start of the 2019 Lobster Festival. Also crowned is the Crown Princess and Miss Congeniality."

Local Beer, Wine and Spirits tastings:

"The 67th Annual Maine Lobster Festival presents "Steins and Vines," an exclusive beer and wine tasting event featuring local Maine-based breweries, wineries, and distilleries. This exciting event will take place on Thursday, July 31st, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Maine Lighthouse Museum,1 Park Drive, in Rockland.

Featuring five Maine brewers and four Maine vintners, Steins and Vines is open to guests aged 21 and older."
