L.L. Bean Offers Free Outdoor Classes In Archery, Kayaking & More

L.L. Bean was founded in Freeport Maine more than 100 years ago, and is still an American staple for tough, high-quality outdoor gear. In fact, the company is so devoted to nature, they are offering a limited series of FREE adventure courses!

The L.L. Bean Discovery Series features classes for adults and kids, as well as novice and advanced adventurers.

Topics include, but are not limited to, Fishing, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, Archery, Clay Shooting, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing, Canoeing and Biking.

Each adventure usually costs about $25 per participant, however starting this weekend, LL. Bean is teaming up with MasterCard to bring them to you totally free! The promotion runs from May 25 - June 30.

Maine natives can stand-up paddle board and kayak at the flagship L.L. Bean store in Freeport; practice archery, go mountain biking, and try fly casting at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester; and shoot clay targets with shotguns at Freeport's Fogg Farm.

If you live in the Bay State, sign up for paddle boarding or kayaking at the Dedham Recreation Center. The L.L. Bean store at the Boston Seaport will also offer free courses beginning in early June. The exact location will be announced in the coming days on the company website.

Check out all the free course listings here. Note: certain courses have age restrictions.
