Oh, and Garoppolo proved he’s a pretty damn good quarterback when he got a chance (42-for-59 passing for 496 yards, 4 TD passes and no INTs in two starts this season)….
G is on a 4-year contract though. This is the last year of his contract. TB12 has more than a year left in him, I think. Sure, the sample size was ridiculously small, but there has to be some confidence around the league that Garoppolo could come in and be a solid starting quarterback elsewhere…
With that in mind, he’s probably gonna want big money when this contract is up. The Pats don’t give out big money. They like team-friendly deals. Garoppolo’s value is pretty high right now. You have to wonder if they’re gonna deal him and if they do, if it’ll be this offseason. I mean, the Bears are interested. The Browns might be too. Then other teams who need QBs…
