Cranberries and Ocean Spray

Eco-friendly and locally produced, Ocean Spray is a cooperative run all across the country (with a branch at even Chile!). With a unique blend of New England culture, tradition and taste, Ocean Spray brings to you a line of cranberry products that will leave you wanting more.

A Brief History

Founded in 1930, Ocean Spray was a venture made by three cranberry growers who wanted to venture into bigger markets and gain more consumers. Led by Marcus L. Urann who developed a special cranberry sauce, Ocean Spray, which started as a small cooperative, has transformed into a prominent cranberry brand. In 1976, they opened a second branch outside of Massachusetts and they haven’t looked back ever since.

Where they stand today?

As the largest producer of cranberries currently, with juice filling facilities in Henderson, Nevada, Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Allentown, Pennsylvania, Ocean Spray is reaching new heights. It supports more than 800 cranberry and grapefruit growers and is constantly on the search for more expansions. Highly eco-friendly, the cooperative works with environmentally friendly features including but not limited to a wastewater treatment facility, energy-efficient lighting, and the use of methane from the nearby Veolia Cranberry Creek Landfill for boiler fuel.
