Celebrate Maple Month With A Horse Drawn Maple Express Tour

Punxsutawney Phil, the great groundhog prognosticator has declared an early spring, but those of us who labor through the winter months in New England know better. So as winter drags on, why not take one more opportunity to enjoy a great day out at Chamingfare Farm?

In Honor of New Hampshire's Maple month (March), Charmingfare Farm offers an inside look at their working maple syrup operation. In addition to being able to tour the Maple House you will also be treated to a horse and carriage ride to the Sugar Shack where you'll meet your own Sugar Maker.

This tour takes about 2 hours from start to finish and offers an inside look at the entire maple syrup making process. The "sweetest" part comes at the end of the tour with a tasting of all your hard work. Homemade syrup is drizzled over buttery silver dollar pancakes.

In addition to the tour of the factory, young sugar enthusiasts have the opportunity to visit with the resident animals at the Oakhurst Dairy Discovery Barn.  Meet-and-greet livestock and other barnyard friends at this working dairy.

Charmingfare Farm also has many sweet maple syrup-based treats to take along with you after your adventure tour. Try the Maple Candies, Maple Sugar, Maple Coffee, Maple Cotton Candy and more!

There are many dates available in March so call ahead to plan your outing.  Charmingfare Farm can be reached at 603 483-5623 or check out their website for more information and other great events for you and your family.
