Boston Lights At The Franklin Park Zoo Will Light Up Your Night

“Boston Lights: A Lantern Experience” at the Franklin Park Zoo is a uniquely dazzling adventure you won't want to miss. Each evening 50 colorful displays light up the night sky from now through November 1!

The zoo invites you to stroll their 72-acre grounds through a 66-foot shark tunnel, past a 197-foot dragon, amid day-glo flower gardens, and many, many more lantern-lit scenes.

Kids can even get involved by dancing and stomping on the giant step-and-play piano!

Boston Lights is more than just a feast for the senses. The displays are intended to shine a light on the importance of conservation and protecting all the beautiful species of our planet.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about Zoo New England's commitment to protecting wildlife and preserving their natural habitats.

The larger-than-life displays are created by Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc. Each lantern is skillfully handcrafted by professional artisans who design full-scale displays, sew and glue colorful fabrics, hand-paint intricate details on each lantern, model and assemble steel frames for each lantern's structure, and install thousands of LED light bulbs!

The end result is a breathtaking experience the whole family can enjoy.

For safety, tickets are being sold in half hour increments from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each night through November 1. Be sure to book your time well in advance on Zoo New England’s website as lots of times and dates have already sold out!
