5 Unique Events To Make The Most Of Your July

 It's summertime, but just because school is out doesn't mean you have to stop learning and playing! The following events let you explore your gifts as a student and let loose with a little recreation!

 

1. Dumpling Making Class At Mei Mei

Sunday  July 7, 9:30 AM at Mei Mei Restaurant

Mei Mei Restaurant is a two-time winner of Boston Magazine’s Best Dumplings title, so who better to teach you to make your own? You’ll learn four different folding techniques, how to pan-sear your dumplings to perfection, and even how to create your own dumpling sauce.

2. Boston Pizza Festival

Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14 at City Hall Plaza

The Boston Pizza Festival is back for its third annual celebration! The two day event will feature live music, beer and wine, and of course, your chance to sample creative creations from the best pizza makers in world - including chefs from Naples, Italy! 3. Fenway Movie Night: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

Friday July 19, 7:30 at the Fenway Victory Gardens

Head to the gorgeous Fenway Victory Gardens for a night of free family fun. Folks of all ages will love this under-the-stars showing of the classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" on Friday, July 19! Don't forget to pack a blanket and snacks. Hosted by the Emerald Necklace Conservancy.

4. Sam Adams Presents: Sip & Spell

Tuesday July 23 at the Boston Brewery Taproom

Were you a grammar school spelling bee champ? Maybe you want the chance to prove your wordsmith skills. On the fourth Tuesday of every month, Sam Adams will give you your big chance at their Sip & Spell 21+ spelling bee competitions.

Held at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery, each month's 1st and 2nd place teams will be invited back to compete in the GRAND FINALE at the end of the year.

5. Boston Water Lantern Festival

Saturday July 27 at the Hatch Shell

This peaceful event combines fun, happiness, hope, and cherished memories. Gather with friends, family, and neighbors to honor someone who has passed or simply send off a message of inspiration. Guests decorate and assemble their own lanterns before releasing them into the water to light up the night.
