What to Expect
Snowport has grown into one of Boston’s most immersive winter-holiday experiences. Here’s a breakdown of the major highlights:
-
The Holiday Market: More than 125 independent businesses will be showcased this season, offering everything from art and apparel to gourmet food items and home décor. Many of the vendors are local to New England (about 65 %) and a striking 88 % are either BIPOC-owned and/or female-owned.
-
Food & Drink: The event includes roughly 20 dining concepts nestled in a heated, lounge-style space. Expect fun offerings like grilled cheese from Cheese Louise and made-to-order pasta served in giant cheese wheels from Cheese Wheel Pastas Boston. And for drinks – themed bars and cozy spaces add to the mood.
-
Activities & Entertainment: One standout is the iceless curling rink (on Harbor Way between 101 & 121 Seaport Blvd) where visitors can try curling without ice! Other fun touches: a Winter Wish Wall, a giant mistletoe arch, photo-worthy installations, live music each Monday via the Mohegan Music Mondays series with emerging Boston talent and a tie-in with Berklee College of Music.
-
Special Events: The official tree lighting, titled “Light Up Seaport,” is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025. A menorah lighting ceremony happens on Sunday, December 21.

Why It’s Worth A Visit
- It’s a chance to support local makers and entrepreneurs, especially BIPOC and female-owned businesses — an element the organizers emphasize.
- The setting in the Seaport transforms the neighborhood into a festive “winter wonderland” — perfect for photo-ops, date-nights, family outings, or even just a solo stroll soaked in holiday spirit.
- Foodies and casual visitors alike will find something to enjoy: from themed bars and comfort food to the curling rink and live music, it goes beyond a typical holiday market.
Tips for Your Visit
- Go early in the season (e.g., early November) if you want fewer crowds and better shopping picks.
- Plan for the weather — though many spaces are heated/covered, it’s still outdoors in Boston in November/December, so dress warmly.
- Timed-entry tickets on weekends can help bypass lines; download the Seaport Insider app in advance.
- Explore the Seaport neighborhood — since you’re there, consider checking nearby restaurants or waterfront views to round out the outing.
- Bring family or friends — with activities like crafting corners, curling, and photo walls, there’s something for all ages.
