The boys agreed that their tavern should be a place that had wicked food, killer cocktails, and awesome service (and lots of TVs' too). Thom and Rob originally moving from Leominster, Mass. and Brattleboro, Vermont respectively knew they also wanted to pay homage to their home by calling it Foxboro. That September, McSwiggans reopened once more, with a Celtic-inspired Phoenix incorporated into the design. The reopening was honored with a cake by Chef Buddy of Carlo's Bakery and Cake Boss fame.

Lompoc Tavern (formerly the New Old Lompoc)

3901 N Williams Ave

The Lompoc Tavern on NW 23rd Ave. is the newest – and oldest – member of the Lompoc family of pubs. We’ve been in this same location as a tavern since 1993, transitioning to a brewpub in 1996. Our name came from the New Old Lompoc House, a well-known establishment in Portland in the 1950s & 60s (named after a location in the movie The Bank Dick). In 2000, brewer Jerry Fechter purchased the space and reopened it as the New Old Lompoc, which operated as a brewery/brewpub until 2012, when it was razed to make room for a mixed-use building with ground floor retail. In 2013, we reopened as the Lompoc Tavern in the exact same location, retaining the funky, familiar NOL feel in a squeaky clean new space. We’re said to offer some of the best pub food in Portland, and we’ve always got a soccer game on the screen. Remember: Drink Local. Drink Lompoc!
