From now until September 3, your favorite dinosaur enthusiast can live out his or her prehistoric fantasies at the Franklin Park Zoo!
Destination Dino is an all-new immersive attraction complete with towering Tyrannosaurus Rex, emu-like Citipati - and everything in between!
Brave dino hunters meander along a winding, wooded pathway as animatronic dinosaurs spring from the foliage with a mighty roar.
Be sure to swing by the Dino Dig area, where young fossil-hunters can dig for bones or visit the exhibit on "Dino Fridays" from June 8 - August 31 for additional activities like dino footprint crafts!
Throughout the summer, there will also be dino-related events like "Dine with the Dinos" and "Dinosaurs After Dark".
"Dine with the Dinos" is an all-ages continental breakfast served alongside the park's prehistoric visitors. An education specialist will also be on hand to discuss the connections dinosaurs have to some of the living creatures at the zoo.
This program will be offered on July 15 and August 18 ONLY, so register soon! The price is $15 per person for members and $18 for non-members. Children under 2 are FREE!
"Dinosaurs After Dark" is an overnight program where guests can view the prehistoric displays by moonlight. A Zoo educator will lead a guided flashlight tour of the Dino exhibit, and guests may explore the tropical rainforest building in the morning to see some "modern day dinos."
Dino Sleepovers are offered on Friday and Saturday nights through September 3. The cost is $45 per person for members and $55 per person for non-members. This includes the activities listed above, a light snack in the evening, continental breakfast in the morning, and a pass for one day of free admission to the zoo valid for one month.
To book an overnight, email the Education Department or call 617-989-3742.
