Vermont Hotel Named Among The Top 100 In The World

Each year, Travel + Leisure magazine releases its World’s Best Awards, including a list of the top 100 hotels in the world. The results are based on each facility's rooms, location, service, food, and overall value as per the reviews of the magazine's loyal readers.

This year, Twin Farms in Barnard, Vermont fell 37 spots from number 15 to number 52. However, unlike last year, the unique resort was the one and only New England spot to make the cut.

“Imagine the creature comforts of a Vermont farmhouse with the no-detail-overlooked attention of the finest luxury resorts, and you’ll get a sense of what makes Twin Farms so special — and why so many visitors return year after year,” Travel + Leisure wrote.

The all-inclusive country resort was once the home of Nobel prize-winning author Sinclair Lewis and his wife, journalist Dorothy Thompson.

What was once a 1795-era farmhouse on 300 acres of gorgeous mountain property became a luxury hotel in 1993.
