This Maine Food Truck Park Serves Doughnut-Flavored Beer

Congdon's Doughnuts Family Restaurant & Bakery in Wells, Maine is known for its vast variety of delicious homemade doughnuts including confetti, chocolate honey and apple fritter.

After a long winter of friendly family dining, this beloved shop has begun their second summer season hosting Congdon's After Dark.

The restaurant bosts that CAD is "the only food truck park in New England operating on a daily basis during the summer" with service beginning Memorial Day weekend.

Featuring up to 10 food trucks serving from 4pm "until late," Congdon’s After Dark also features a beer garden, serving brews inspired by and made with Congdon’s Doughnuts.

The restaurant teamed up with Barreled Souls Brewing in Saco, Maine to create two different brews exclusively available at Congdon's.

The Honey-Dipped Blonde is described as:

"a bright, smooth blonde ale made with our world famous Honey Dip doughnuts. It is light and delicious with a slightly sweet finish, a perfect summer night easy sipper. Served with a doughnut hold garnish."

While the stronger, richer Maple Bacon Fritter Stout is:

"a dark and complex imperial stout made with our Maple Bacon Fritters. The smoky bacon undertones complement a nice touch of syrup in a rich, full flavor that packs a punch."

CAD now has a covered patio and more seating for the 2018 season to encourage guests to hang out at the fully-stocked beer garden.

In addition to doughnut beers, patrons can enjoy selections from local brewers Barrelled Souls, Shipyard, Allagash, Lone Pine and Oxbow Brewing as well as wine and cocktails.

Congdon's After Dark will be open weekends only until mid-June, then daily until Labor Day.
