2020 has not been very kid-friendly: pulled from school without warning, a summer vacation rife with restrictions, and now Halloween without trick-or-treating. If you ask me, our kids deserve a break - and Davis Farmland in Westford, MA has just the place with their Children's Discovery Farm!
This fun and educational spot welcomes children 12 and younger along with their parents or guardians. No teens. No unaccompanied adults. Davis Farmland is all about the kids!
The Davis family has owned the farm on Redstone Hill Road since 1846, and as the years passed they have turned it into a true family destination with tons of imagination-stimulating activities, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and apple orchard, as well as the Davis Mega Corn Maze.
Adventureland offers tons of ways to play with their bunny bounce, 80 foot Cow-A-Bunga Super Slide, Dino bone dig, summit climber, pedal carts, and plenty of age appropriate play structures to suit every kid!
At Imagine-Acres your child’s imagination will sore as they learn about nature through playing, bouncing, climbing, and letting their imaginations run wild.
Over at Davis Farmland’s Animal Showcase, little ones can hone their love and knowledge of animals as they pet, cuddle, and feed North America’s largest collection of endangered livestock breeds.
Ride a pony or load up the entire family for a Safari Hayride to the back pastures where you'll meet the farm's largest residents.
"Junior farmers" can help milk goats, collect chicken eggs, bottle feed the babies, and groom the animals.
Don't forget to swing by the Reptile Ranch and the Moo Moo fun stations for more interactive, educational fun!
Across the street the U-Pick apple orchard is fully stocked with ripe, delicious Cortland and McIntosh Apples. Orchard hours are Saturdays 11am - 6pm & Sundays 11am - 5pm.
The year-round park changes their hours seasonally and is currently operating under their fall schedule. Visit them on Saturdays & Sundays from 9:30am - 4pm.
New parents will find a nursing room, diaper changing stations, and family bathrooms for their convenience.
Join the Davis Farm family for socially distanced Trick-Or-Treating at 11am and 3pm on October 31st-November 1st with pumpkin painting at 2pm!
Everyone over two must wear a protective face mask - costume masks do not count.
