The Fairy Gnome Discovery Walk Will Make You Believe In Magic

Looking for an enchanting way to spend a spring afternoon? Then pack up the family and head to Pettengill Farm in Salisbury, MA on Saturday, May 4th or Sunday, May 5th for the fifth annual Fairy Gnome Discovery Walk.

Don't forget to don your tutu and fairy wings!

This one-of-a-kind event features local authors reading fairy tales in the forest, costumed dancers performing fairy dances, and local musicians serenading visitors throughout the day.

But the biggest draw of all is the magical wooded trail through Pettengill Farm's salt marsh, lush gardens, and enchanted forest.

Along the path you'll discover nearly 200 fairy and gnome houses handcrafted by students, individuals, local businesses, and groups.

Take your time as you stroll through the forest, many of the little dwellings blend in with the surrounding flora and fauna.

Be sure to inspect each tiny home and take in the intricate details including gardens, furniture, tiny accessories, and even the "homeowners" themselves!

Keep an eye out for impromptu performances from the folks at Theater in the Open who will be performing improv in the forest.

There will also be craft booths, fairy-themed merchandise, lunch vendors, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

The event will take place the weekend of May 4th and 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - rain or shine.

Proceeds benefit the local community with funds for field trips and school supplies for the upcoming year.
