Western MA Cafe Helps Keep The Community Fed With Organic Groceries

With a name like The Starving Artist Creperie & Cafe, the owners of this Lee, Massachusetts establishment know what it is like to go without. That's why they are helping to ensure their community members are well fed during the current health crisis.

Each week, the Starving Artist staff will deliver grocery baskets filled with locally-sourced bread, eggs, milk, coffee, greens and more to customers in Lee, Lenox, and Stockbridge.

The ingredients come from High Lawn Farm, Equinox Farm, Berkshire Mountain Bakery, The Inn on the Green and other fine Berkshire area businesses.

Customers can choose from a $50 basket and an $80 basket, allowing them to support their community without leaving the house.

Inspired by a generous patron, the Starving Artist also plans to donate grocery baskets to community members in need.

When there isn't a global outbreak, the Starving Artist Cafe and Creperie is a favorite local hangout and eatery offering free wifi, eclectic local artwork, and comfy couch seating.

Their seasonal menu is packed with organic, vegetarian, vegan & gluten free menu options for breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch.

As the name suggests, they specialize in fresh, creative crepes that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

They serve only the finest fair-trade and organic pour-over and drip coffees, teas, lattes, fresh juices and smoothies as well as panini sandwiches, soups, salads and baked goods.

Be sure to take advantage of their gourmet and charitable grocery baskets and don't forget to stop in for a visit when things get back to business as usual.
