Visit Venice Without Ever Leaving Boston At SRV Wine Bar & Bacaro

How does a romantic Venetian getaway complete with modern decor, made-to-order risotto, house-made pasta, and the finest selection of Italian wines sound? You can take that trip tonight right here in South Boston at SRV Italian Wine Bar & Bacaro!

SRV stands for Serene Republic of Venice, an apt name for a spot specializing in traditional Venetian food with a modern interpretation.

The restaurant is Boston’s first Venetian-inspired bacaro (Italian for bar) featuring small plates (cicchetti) and drinks inspired by Venetian cuisine.

At a true Italian bacaro, guests enjoy a small glass of wine with each course. At SRV you will find an extensive wine list of authentic imported wines to pair with your meal. Ask your server for recommendations to complement with your cicchetto selections.

You can also select your aperitivi from SRV's fresh, modern cocktail menu. Try the Daiquiri e Pepe, made from SRV rum blend, black peppered honey, lime, alessio bianco, and pineapple. Or a fresh Aperol Spritz with aperol, prosecco and soda.

All of the pasta at SRV is created fresh each day from house-milled flour.

And if you have never tried risotto, a northern Italian rice dish cooked with broth until it reaches a creamy consistency, SRV is the place to do it! Current selections include Squash Risotto with pork sausage, sage, and pumpkin seed oil as well as the Risotto Bianco with white truffle and parmigiano-reggiano.

The dine-in Arsenale menu offers a family-style experience of large dishes to pass and share. This style of dining pays homage to La Serenissima - a nickname for The Republic of Venice meaning "most serene."

Every Thursday-Saturday you can bring a taste of Venice home to your family with the take-out or delivery SRVia Arsenale menu. For $36 a person you get a selection of small plates, pasta, and desserts with house-made bread.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, SRV is adhering to strict safety guidelines including outdoor dining, timed indoor dining, masks when not at your table, and a 10:00pm closing time to adhere with the curfew.
