Pro Football Focus is douting the Patriots this season

Not everyone is right 100 percent of the time. In fact, sometimes people say things that you know (or have a very good idea that they) are wrong as soon as they say it.

Well, this may or may not be the case with Pro Football Focus' prediction for the New England Patriots this season. They like to announce their ratings prior to the season of all of the NFL teams, however many there are, but they really seem to be wrong this time around. One might wonder: why that is? Well, you might need to sit down for this one.

They have the Patriots ranked fourth at the current moment. That's right. The Patriots have made it to Super Bowls in back-to-back seasons and yet, the mainstream media is still throwing shade at them like they are the Cleveland Browns or some bad NFL team like that. It's pretty sad, actually. I know, it's ridiculous.

So: who do they think has better teams than the Patriots this season? Well, the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. OK, we can work with that for now, I guess.

(That was painful)

So that means the Patriots would be their favorites to win the AFC, at least. That has to count for something.

What stands out is that the site does not like the Patriots linebacking corps which is understandable because no one does. They ranked Elandon Roberts 69th among inside linebackers last year, giving him a 41.6 for a grade. That's an F. His coverage of passes was not all there last year, so yeah... Don't blame them for it.
But hey, at least the Patriots have Tom Brady back this year and Julian Edelman will be coming back at some point.

So yeah, expect a good year from the Patriots--and hope they can prove these clowns wrong.
