Phantom Gourmet Partnership

Chowdaheadz and Phantom Gourmet have partnered to bring you the new food and fun collection! The Phantom Gourmet has been featuring New England area restaurants on TV since 1993. It airs in Boston, Providence, and Portland on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Watching the show makes you want to get in your car immediately and drive to any one of the delicious restaurants they reviewed. The Phantom Gourmet has recently featured some perfect New England summer eating spots.

Backyard Brewery and Kitchen

Located in Manchester, NH, the Backyard Brewery and Kitchen features elevated pub food and beer that is brewed on-site. The restaurant/brewery has a spacious, laid back atmosphere that includes an outdoor patio. They also have a bar with a 70s and 80s vibe called “The Throwback” that’s a nod to what the establishment used to be. The owner has always had a passion for beer, and if you’re not sure what beer to order with your food, the staff can help you find the perfect one.

Mom & Pops Burgers

This casual restaurant with a cool outdoor patio is located in Chatham, MA. The food reflects the backgrounds of the couple that owns the restaurant, New England, and the Philippines. They strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere and a unique menu. Burgers are their specialty, and they grind their own beef in-house. You can go with the ”standard” burger which is cooked with their special sauce and served with hand-cut fries, or you could try the “Filipino Pork Burger” with papaya slaw and garlic-chili mayo. I know where I’ll be eating next time I’m in Chatham!

Lobstah On A Roll

With locations in both Boston and Salem, MA, this small shop has some of the biggest, most over-the-top lobster rolls in New England. The owners call themselves the “ambassadors of lobster rolls,” and they want to set the standard. They use fresh-baked, sweet challah rolls (yum!) and fresh, steamed lobster. They also serve clam chowder, crab-cake sandwiches, and they are not stingy with the chunks of lobster in the lobster bisque.
