Kick Off Marathon Weekend With A 7 A.M. Dance Party At Fenway

The 2017 Boston Marathon is just over two weeks away and sponsor, New Balance has teamed up with Daybreaker –  “a pre-sunrise sober dance party with a wellness initiative” where participants “dance their faces off before work and feel gloriously healthy while doing so” – to offer a unique experience to Boston’s early birds, baseball fans, health freaks, and dance fanatics.

And where might this 7 AM dance party be held, you ask? None other than our very own Fenway Park! The event is scheduled for Friday April 14 to kick off Marathon weekend and New Balance’s week-long #ThisIsBoston celebration. Coffee, juice and healthy breakfast treats are included in the $20 admission fee.

The idea behind the Daybreaker brand is to inspire people to enjoy moving their bodies with booze-free, rave-like morning dance sessions featuring exciting and silly themes. The company was born in Williamsberg, Brooklyn and had its first Boston dance party Halloween week 2015.

Since then there have been Christmas, space disco and pajama-themed parties, not to mention an epic Animal Kingdom Boat Party where the early morning revelers dressed as their favorite zoo creature – fun!

As of April 2, the event’s 6 AM workout classes – a yoga session and kickboxing workout – have both sold out. You can join the dance party-only waitlist here. If you don’t make it to this event, Daybreaker is sure to have another great morning adrenaline session coming up soon – although nothing can top dancing at Fenway!
