Fondue Express Is Now Fondue Village But This Pop-Up Won't Last Forever

Pop-Ups come and go, but every now and then, the idea is just too good to let go. Such is the case with last winter's Fondue Express at the gorgeous Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

The hotel and spa are quiet in the off-season, but the popularity of last year's Apre ski-inspired pop-up has brought new life to the resort's restaurant.

The cozy private dining venue offers a three-course lunch and dinner menu of "Alpine delicacies served alongside vintage selections of Veuve Clicquot champagnes."

Last year the upscale fondue experience consisted of a single four seat re-purposed ski gondola decked out in cozy lighting and decor.

This time, there are two additional gondolas to accommodate even more guests. All three surround a roaring fire pit and are nestled among the property's twinkling pine trees.

Fondue Express is now Fondue Village!

As per the website:

"Each vintage ski gondola has been impressively restored, outfitted with warm woods, fine Alpine textiles, chandeliers and imported Swiss and Austrian glassware and china".

Each three-course meal includes a personal server with your choice to add in a champagne pairing.

Lunch and dinner reservations are available through March 31, 2020.

• LUNCH: Thursday through Sunday: 12 p.m.
