Enjoy Holiday Fun At The Boston Children's Museum - Without The Children
Share
After weeks of holiday fairs, concerts, recitals, and family obligations, wouldn't it be nice to cut loose and act like a kid without your kids?
The Boston Children's - strike that - Grownups Museum will host an Ugly Sweater Party this Thursday, December 19.
You could win a prize for your ensemble, but even if you don't, there is plenty to do.
Decorate your own gingerbread cookies from the candy bar..
Create your own unique ornament...
Order up a festive boozy hot chocolate...
Enjoy a treat from Montilio's Baking Company...
Play old-school board games with other adults...
Dance to some of your favorite holiday hits...
And "ice skate" sans shoes on the sock skating rink.
Most of all, simply enjoy the peace and civility of a child-free party.
Stump Trivia will give you more chances to go home with a prize during lightning rounds of trivia.
Like other Boston Grownups Museum events, you can explore interactive exhibits normally off limits during regular hours. Who wants to build a "big kid" fort??
If you're feeling guilty about ditching the kids, why not pay your good fortune forward by bringing along an optional gift for Toys for Tots - make sure it is a new, unwrapped toy.
The event takes place Thursday, Dec. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m
Tickets are available at the Children’s Museum website for $30
