Cafe du Pays opened in July 2017 and is run by the same group that operates the nearby customer favorites, Mamaleh’s and State Park.
“If you like that talented group of people; if you’ve been hankering for a taste of Québec right here in Cambridge, with a touch of New England…Café du Pays is a no-brainer,” Eater Boston editor Rachel Leah Blumenthal wrote. “And especially with winter coming, the restaurant’s hearty meats, irresistible house-made sourdough, and maple-tinged desserts and drinks will be the perfect antidote to the cold weather.”

Blumenthal also deemed Cafe du Pays the only local place to enjoy true French-Canadian cuisine – like the ever-popular poutine – without having to travel North.
Poutine is now available til 11pm Tuesday – Sunday.•••Crispy fries, meat gravy, & cheese curds.

The Eater awards were given out in five categories, with each featuring an editor’s choice winner and a readers’ choice winner. The winners and nominees are all restaurants that opened over the last 13 months.
Below is the full list of Boston’s 2017 Winners, including the reader’s choice for best restaurant. That honor went to Moona, an Eastern Mediterranean establishment also based in Cambridge.
Feeling extra #thankful this week. Thankful for our hard working team at Moona, health, family friends, great food and of course YOU. Thank you for supporting us and our passion each and every day!
