Couples Can Sculpt Their Own Clay Heart For A One-Of-A-Kind Valentine Experience

Couples Can Sculpt Their Own Clay Heart For A One-Of-A-Kind Valentine Experience

What could be more romantic than recreating the iconic pottery scene from Ghost with that special someone?

This Valentine's season you can do just that!

Couples looking for something a little different will love Date Night with Clay at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts.

Work as a team on your very own clay heart or take to the sculpture wheel to create a one-of-a-kind art piece you can keep forever.

You don't have to be a ceramics expert to enjoy the experience. In fact, participating couples don't need any prior clay experience at all. Staff will be on hand to show you the ropes and advise you as you create your masterpiece.

The one-and-a-half hour workshop includes professional instruction from resident artist Bruce Barry, a finalist for the Massachusetts Cultural Council Crafts Grant who has taught at deCordova since 1997.

Your firing and decorating materials are included in the workshop price, as well as refreshments, and of course, a unique Valentine’s Day gift to take home!

Participants must be 21+. The cost is $90 per couple for museum members and $105 per couple for nonmembers.
