If you don't follow Minor League Baseball, it may be time to check out a Portland Sea Dogs game. They're affiliated with our own Boston Red Sox!
This spring, Hadlock Field, the Sea Dogs' home turf, has unveiled several new menu items as well as a reboot of "Foodie Fridays" at the ballpark.
The 2019 season is the time to check out the young recruits and enjoy a little Lobster Popcorn or a Fried Dough Burger in the process.
Depending on your individual tastes, these two showcase items may cause you to drool with anticipation - or gag in disgust!
Lobster Popcorn is made with real lobster chunks mixed with buttered popcorn. The decidedly Maine snack is served in a mini Sea Dogs helmet.
The Fried Dough Burger is definitely not for the faint of heart! It consists of eight burger patties, cheese, crumbled bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiched between two slabs of fried dough.

Check out this new item! It’s the fried dough burger. It’s about as big as a large frisbee, has 8 patties, cheese, bacon crumbles, tomatoes and lettuce.

The Lobster Popcorn and the Fried Dough Burger will be available at every home game this season at Hadlock Field's Shipyard Grill.
Sea Dogs President & General Manager Geoff Iacuessa called the Lobster Popcorn "an iconic Maine dish that will certainly be one of the most unique and delicious items that you will find at a ballpark."
Be sure to catch a Friday home game this season to take advantage of Foodie Fridays. Each week the Sea Dogs will offer a unique menu item - and for just $5.00 you can pair it with a local craft beer.
