Boston's Newest Bubble Tea

Boston's Newest Bubble Tea

While COVID-19 has delayed many a business' expansion plans - and downright put an end to others' - Boston's Love Art Brand, founded by Jessica Chiep and Ronald Liu, has actually moved theirs forward.

The pair own Love Art Sushi, Love Art Udon, Poke by Love Art near North Station, and another poke restaurant, Love Art Poke, in downtown Boston.

Their latest plan was to open a brick-and-mortar boba shop in 2021, but they decided to drastically advance their launch in the wake of the coronavirus - minus the new store, of course.

Okinawa Boba Co. debuted in mid-March to instant success with thousands of drinks sold.

The shop's four flavors are currently offered at the three Love Art locations. They are: kinako brown sugar milk, cafe matcha milk, satoimo ube milk, and Thai milk.

There is also a one gallon boba drink meant for sharing - or when you are really craving boba!

Okinawa Boba Co. also specializes in dorayaki desserts made with adzuki, matcha cheesecake, and brown sugar boba.

This month they plan to start offering home boba kits complete with loose leaf teas, matcha powders, bubble varieties, and detailed instructions on how to throw your own boba party.
