City Brew Tours provides a unique experience for craft beer lovers or anyone interested in learning about and tasting beer options. They offer all-inclusive tours of top breweries in cities across North America, including Boston with their Boston Brew Tours. You drink, they drive!
The business was founded in 2008 in Burlington, VT by Chad Brodsky when he was only 21 years old. After perfecting the business model in VT, Chad opened Boston Brew Tours in 2012. In 2014 he began expanding Brew Tours to other cities. Then in 2017, when he was running tours in five cities, he took on partner and COO Barry Hansen Jr. A professional brewer, Barry joined City Brew Tours as a tour guide before eventually becoming COO of City Brew Tours. They are continuing to expand City Brew Tours to new cities including Cleveland most recently.
The “Original” Boston Brew Tour is five hours long, costs $99 per person, and includes fourteen spaces on round-trip transportation. You need a minimum of four people for a tour. You will stop at four local Boston breweries for a behind the scenes look and tasting of up to fifteen different local craft beers. The beer tasting is paired with a delicious meal from either Meadhall, Beerworks or Chelsea Station. The tour guides pledge to be entertaining while providing a history of beer and brewing in Boston.
In addition to the “Original” Brew Tour, Boston Brew Tours also provides the “After-Hours” tour that goes into the evening, and the “Sip of Boston” tour that is shorter at 3.5 hours and stops at three local breweries ($70 per person).
Boston Brew Tours will also work with you to customize a private tour. A private tour would be an excellent option for bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, birthdays, or corporate events.
