For every December reservation made, the Inn will purchase and donate a book from the wish list of a local school library, as part of the inn’s Books for a Booking campaign. The project ensures the children of the community have the resources they need to learn and develop.

Inn by the Sea also participates in a Giving Tree program. The same local students who receive the books create handmade ornaments to hang on the Inn’s tree and guests and local residents donate warm coats and outerwear in exchange for the decorations. The clothing is delivered to food banks and shelters by Project Grace.

Yet another charity event, the Brunch Buffet with Santa on Saturday, December 9th benefits Toys for Tots. Each child who donates an unwrapped toy will enjoy his or her special meal for free and have the joy of knowing their gift will go to a less fortunate child from the community.
