As someone who has spent time on Cape Cod just about every summer of my life, Provincetown offers the most bang for my buck. You get the gorgeous beach retreats and quiet charm that the Cape is famous for, plus the best in shopping, dining and nightlife.

The village of P-Town is packed with charming B & B’s, but the Crowne Pointe Historic Inn goes above and beyond to make it a visitor favorite. Located downtown, the resort is walking distance to all of Provincetown’s most beloved attractions.

35 guest suites are scattered among six buildings on a restored sea captain’s estate with a central landscaped courtyard. The main mansion features a luxury spa and fine dining at The Pointe Restaurant. The rooms are spacious and unique, with many featuring fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.

What sets the Crowne Point apart are the little details. They offer a cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, and serve a complimentary array of wine, beer, and gourmet cheese every evening by the outdoor pool and hottub.

2. Anchor In (Hyannis)

This lovely resort overlooks the Hyannis Inner Harbor, with breathtaking waterfront views of the ferries, fishing vessels, and yachts from its private decks. The heated outdoor pool also overlooks the harbor.

Guest rooms range from Traditional to Deluxe and Executive with seven rooms named for the seven villages of the Town of Barnstable. Each one of these offer unique decor, features and views that embody the beauty of the historic villages.

The complimentary breakfast consists of fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and juices served in the kitchen and available to carry to the library, sunroom or outdoor decks and pool area for a morning dose of fresh ocean air.

3. Captain’s House Inn (Chatham)

The Captain’s House Inn was established in 1839. The Greek Revival-style mansion features 16 rooms across four guest houses and an English flair with croquet in the yard and high tea each afternoon. Guests are welcomed by complimentary gift baskets and suites featuring fireplaces and whirlpool tubs, depending on the room.
