Ted “the Splendid Splinter” Williams was commonly considered the greatest hitter of all time. During and after his baseball career, Williams was a huge advocate for the Jimmy Fund and inspired many to support cancer research and care. He visited the Jimmy Fund Clinic often, bringing smiles to countless patients and representing Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s mission and strong relationship with Boston’s beloved baseball team.
