Thirst Boston Is A Festival Devoted To The Science Of Cocktail Creation
Share
The motto of the Thirst Boston Cocktail Festival is "learn by day, celebrate all night." The 6th annual cocktail festival is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28.
Most of Thirst Boston’s 30+ events will take place at the Boston Center for Adult Education, but some are held at other locations around town, including a walking tour of the city’s cocktail history with local legend Brother Cleve.
While there will be lots of seminars and tours for those in the biz, there will also be parties and plenty of cocktail samples for those who simply want to have a good time!
Learn about the natural wine trend from local wine experts or how to pair chocolate with booze - whiskey-flavored ganache, anyone?
Seminars include topics that showcase specific spirits, techniques and mixology. Don't worry, there will be plenty of samples to break up all that learning!
Ready to party? Thirst Boston will host two themed bashes: State Lines and the Intergalactic Blender Bender.
State Lines is scheduled for Saturday night at the Innovation Design Center. The carnival-themed event will feature games, prizes, food, live music, and plenty of innovative drinks.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boston food rescue mission, Lovin’ Spoonfuls.
On Sunday, the Intergalactic Blender Bender at China Pearl will be a bit different. 12 teams of bartenders will compete to create the ultimate blended drink! Cheer them on, and sample the best of the best! Costumes are highly encouraged.
