Those a bit west of Boston will soon have a city-worthy place to enjoy fabulous fried chicken and delicious comfort food in Waltham.
Pollo Club opens Thursday October 24, with a grand opening scheduled for Tuesday.
In addition to dark and white meat golden-fried chicken, guests may enjoy decadent sandwiches, and backyard barbecue style favorites like deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese, beets and pickled mangos.
Start off with a basket of deep fried, slightly-sweet hush puppies followed by a whole bird fried chicken platter with a buttermilk biscuit and two sides of your choice.
Decadent housemade desserts will include a rotating lineup of seasonal popsicles and a s’mores jar filled with chocolate pudding, Massachusetts' own marshmallow Fluff, and graham cracker crumbles.
Pollo Club will also feature a long list of local and regional beers in cans, bottles, and on tap. Choose brewery options from Narragansett, Lamplighter, Hermit Thrush, and Liquid Riot.
If you prefer something a little stronger with your chicken, there will also be an impressive selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic mocktails.
The new restaurant seats just 25 and features a bright yellow, black and grey color schem as well as a hand-painted mural from artist Sam Malpass.
Pollo Club will start offering takeout for your Patriots-watching parties later this fall.
