Harpoon & Polar Seltzer Have Teamed Up To Create A New Beer

New Englanders love Polar Seltzer, especially those fresh, fruity flavors from the summertime lineup. Well, what if I told you the calorie-free beverage line has teamed up with Harpoon Brewery to create a unique, seasonal alcoholic beverage?
The refreshing beer is made from the Blueberry Lemonade Polar Seltzer’ade, one of the lemonade recipes launched by the company in 2016.
“We’ve been fans of Polar Seltzer since – well – forever, and we were so happy that this partnership led us to this delicious, thirst-quenching summery beer,” says Dan Kenary, CEO of Mass Bay Brewing Co., brewers of UFO Beer. “Polar’s Blueberry Lemonade Seltzer’ade is the perfect match for UFO’s classic wheat beer and we’re looking forward to our fans giving it a try.”
UFO stands for “UnFiltered Offering; meaning all the beers in the line have a cloudy appearance due to the yeast being left suspended, rather than filtered.
A press release for the unfiltered hefeweizen stated the culinary minds behind UFO Beer recommend pairing Blueberry Lemonade with "summer favorites like chicken piccata, pan-roasted swordfish, summer salad or lemon pound cake."
For those who know their beer stats, UFO Blueberry Lemonade is 4.8 percent alcohol by volume and 13 IBUs (international bitterness units).
It is now available on draft and in six-packs of 12-ounce cans. Harpoon expects to keep it around through the end of July.
