When Are the Tastings?
As mentioned above, you may go to Central Bottle and try out some wine on any or all of four days in a week. The first tasting each week happens on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 pm. The two subsequent tastings take place at the same time in the evening on Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, however, it begins at noon and ends at 2 pm. If your week is wearing you out and you want a bit of fun with wine, these timings are perfect.
What Can You Expect?
On each of the four days, there is a different theme for the tasting. If you like earthy, tart-y red wine (lovely in the New England weather!), Wednesday is when you should go. If on the other hand, you want to know more about wines coming from different regions or you prefer less viscosity in your wines, try Thursday. On Thursdays, a place is selected and light-body wines from that area are tasted. Up for a surprise? For Fridays, there is no fixed theme, and the staff at Central Bottle will put up whatever they feel is suitable for tasting. And lastly, on Saturdays, carry along your wallet, because you can taste your wine and simultaneously have an amazing shopping experience. Central Bottle is not only just a wine destination but somewhat of a charcuterie and food shop too. There will be staff eager to help you shop for whatever you want.
