Enjoy A Safe, Socially Distanced Meal At Bostonia Public House

Bostonia Public House is located in the 1902 Board of Trade Building on the corner of State Street and Broad Street in the heart of the Financial District and adjacent to Faneuil Hall.

They specialize in American favorites, fresh seafood, and specialty craft cocktails in a fun, relaxed setting. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, they have remained open, providing takeout and delivery to their patrons and free meals to frontline rescue workers.

Now that Massachusetts has begun to relax their restrictions, many quarantiners are anxious to enjoy a good meal and an evening out. Restaurants with outdoor patios are best for social distancing, and while Bostonia Public House definitely has a lovely outdoor dining area, they are doing so much more to ensure their guests feel safe.

Their ever-updated safety plan is based on the recommendations of the Massachusetts Re-Opening Advisory Board and focuses on four main principles:

  1. Personal hygiene
  2. Social/Physical Distancing
  3. Monitoring of One’s Health
  4. Cleaning and Sanitation

Here are just a few of the ways they are going above and beyond those standards:

Guests must make reservations through the restaurant's website for up to six people per party. They are asked to arrive as close to their reservation time as possible, and wear masks until safely seated at their table.

The patio dining tables have been spaced out and outfitted with glass shields to provide patrons with their own individual safety pods as they eat, drink, and chat.

All tables and chairs will be thoroughly sanitized between parties, and will not be preset with dinnerware. Hand sanitizing stations have also been added around the patio area.

Staff members are encouraged to stay home if they feel sick and management is offering additional sick time to ensure their employees can pay their bills while recovering or quarantining.

Staff must also wear masks at all time, adhere to a six-feet social distancing protocol, wash or sanitize their hands every 30 minutes, and have their temperatures checked before every shift.

If you have been too nervous to enjoy a meal at one of Boston's patio restaurants, consider venturing out to Bostonia. You can be sure they are taking every possible precaution to keep you safe!
